The shopping cart is where you keep your selections until you are ready to check out. It works just like a cart in a store. While you are still browsing, it will hold the items you wish to purchase. Keep in mind, though, that it only holds items while your session is open. If you close your browser or leave the site, you may lose the items in your bag.
To save items for a longer period, you will need to have a DBC account. Click "My Account" at the top of any page to create your DBC account. When you have an account and the site recognizes you, we will remember the items you leave in your cart whenever you visit DBC. Be quick, though, because if it's an item with low inventory it may sell out while you're waiting.
You may review what you have put in your shopping cart whenever you wish. All you have to do is click on the link to "shopping cart" at the very top of the page and you will be able to see all of the items you are currently holding in there. It even keeps track of how many items you've placed in it as you continue to shop on the site.
Once you click on the "shopping cart" link, you can see a picture of the piece(s) you've placed in your shopping cart, as well as a brief description, . From the shopping bag, you'll also be able to either add or remove any item. You can do this simply by entering in the number of items you'd like and then clicking on . If you change your mind about an item, all you have to do is click on the "delete" link underneath the number of items.
If you choose to leave the site without checking out, your shopping cart will only retain your selections for a 2 hours, before they are placed back onto our virtual shelves so other customers have the opportunity to make a purchase. Again, it works just like a shopping cart in a store; if you left a retail store to have coffee and then returned later during the day, it is most likely the items in your cart will have been placed back on their shelves for other customers to purchase. Because DBC sells items of limited quantities, we urge you to purchase the items you are interested in when you see them. The next time you visit, they might be gone!

Once you have found what you are looking for and added all the item(s) you wish to purchase to your shopping bag you are ready to check out. From your shopping bag, click the "proceed to checkout" button. If you have already created a DBC account, enter your email address and password under the "returning customers" header and click the "log in" button. Unless you have already created a DBC account, click the "continue" button under the "guest checkout" header. Simply follow the steps outlined and provide the necessary shipping and billing information to complete the checkout process. It's not easy to make a purchasing decision when all you have in front of you is a computer, a pretty picture and a description. What if you buy an item and it doesn't fit? DBC wants to make sure you're happy with each and every purchase. If you're not satisfied with what you've bought, you can return it . No questions asked, as long as the item's in its original condition.
For your convenience, we will include a pre-paid UPS merchandise return label with every order. If you use this label and opt for a refund to your credit card, a return shipping fee of . If you opt for the credit to be applied to your DBC account for future us with us, we will cover the shipping costs. If you prefer, you may use any other return shipping method at your own expense. Once we receive your order, we credit the appropriate account within 10-14 days; we also send you an email to let you know the refund is complete. |

It's easy and fun to send a gift! Just choose this option on the first page of the basket under GIFT OPTIONS when placing your order. On the delivery page, you will be asked to enter information regarding the sender and receiver. You can even choose to have your order beautifully gift wrapped.
You can also add a gift certificate to the package with a personal message and, if you like, also have that same message sent to the receiver via e-mail. If you do not include a message the parcel will arrive anonymously. So we do recommend that you include a message.
Remember that if you choose the gift option, the receiver will NOT be able to see the price of the product you purchased. |

Yes. When you place an order, you will be asked to provide invoicing information on the delivery address page of the cart. Enter the information and you will receive an e-mail with an invoice and the confirmation of your order. You will not be able to enter VAT numbers, however, as DBC has chosen the end consumer exclusively as its customer. |

It depends where your order is being shipped to.
The actual taxes charged to your credit card will reflect the applicable state and local sales taxes, and will be calculated when your order is shipped. Orders shipped to AZ, CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, HI, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, MD, MI, MN, MO, NC, NJ, NV, NY, OH, PA, RI, SD, TX, UT, VA or WA will have all applicable local and state sales taxes added to your total order, and to your shipping charges where appropriate.
To be clear, the Internet Tax Freedom Act (ITFA), which was signed into law on October 21, 1998, does not, as some have asserted, preclude sales and use taxes on any and all commerce conducted over the Internet. State and local governments are allowed to impose sales and use taxes on all such electronic sales, provided that the tax (and its rate) are the same as that which would be imposed on the transactions if they were conducted in a more traditional manner, such as over the phone or through mail order.
The ITFA is intended to prevent any jurisdiction from imposing special taxes on Internet transactions, other than such taxes that a jurisdiction already has the ability to impose (e.g., sales tax; see below). The ITFA prevents the imposition of any such taxes through November 1, 2003.
Currently, most e-commerce companies use the same taxation rules used by mail-order companies, which are based on constitutional guidelines for interstate commerce. Generally this means that states can only require companies to collect sales tax in states where they have business operations, and as a result, a company will not collect sales tax in states where they have no business operations. If someone were to order something from one of our catalogs, that person would only be charged sales tax if he or she shipped his or her order to a state where Nordstrom has physical operations. This discount may increase during sales or for promotions specific to a country, designer or category. In such cases the discount will be called EXTRA, and is identifiable by a strike through the DBC price with the new, lower price in red.
A price comparison does not exist as these products are not currently available in traditional stores, but only on DBC, who strives always to offer a selection that is both of quality and accessible. |

The UPS service delivers from Monday to Friday during office hours and you cannot pre-book delivery times.
The courier will try to deliver the parcel for three consecutive working days, leaving a notification each time with a toll-free number where you can contact UPS.
After the third failed attempt, UPS will take the parcel to its own warehouse and DBC will e-mail or phone you for new delivery instructions.
If UPS is unable to deliver the parcel to you, they will return it the DBC warehouse.
We highly recommend that you give a delivery address where you will be easy to find (where you work perhaps, indicating name/company/business/office and, if necessary the number or name on the doorbell, internal number, if there is a concierge or other information.)
ATTENTION: only give this information if you are allowed to receive personal deliveries at your place of work. |

If you are not satisfied with your purchase for any reason, you can return one or more products respecting the following conditions:
- the online Return Form must be correctly filled out and sent to DBC within 30 days from the date you received the parcel so you can get a Return Number;
- use our carrier, UPS, to ship (at no additional charge) the items you wish to return.
- be sure that the products are in the same condition that you received them in and that the DBC identification tag and disposable seal are attached;
- products must be sent to DBC in just one parcel. DBC reserves the right to refuse garments from the same order if they are sent back at different times.
If you adhere to these conditions, DBC will issue you a refund for the full price of the item purchased, less shipping costs and restocking fee of $ 5.00 for each returned item. If you do not comply with the conditions requested above, DBC will be unable to issue you a refund and you will incur additional shipping costs should the items need to be re-shipped to you in such an event.
You may return any product you buy except Vintage, Beachwear, Underwear and any items from the Sample Sale area. Sales of Vintage, Beachwear, Underwear and all items from the Sample Sale area are FINAL.
